Listening & Comprehension Exercises (Pt 1)
If you find yourself at home and in the need to combine education with your favourite adventure podcast and have been wracking your brains as to how to do that, then look no further! Below are some questions about episode 1 of Benlunar which you can answer at home. Make sure to check with a parent or teacher to see if your spellings and grammar are correct!
First off. Listen to Episode 1 of Benlunar either here, or wherever you find your podcasts.
Whilst listening, be sure to pay close attention as some of these questions will test your memory! If you want to read along with the podcast, you can find a transcript to episode 1 here.
Once you’ve reached the end, grab a pen (or pencil if you prefer) and paper and scroll down to find question 1. Good luck!

What Colour is Lilian’s hair?

Why were Lilian’s parents angry with her?
Question 3
Lilian likes to hunt ‘flipsies’ in and around the stream. If flipsies were real creatures, what do you think they would look like?

Name three things that might be found to happen in the Benlunar market square.
Question 5
Can you remember anything about the strange man who was looking at Lilian in the market place? Try to describe him as best you can from memory. Try to remember any distinguishing features or clothes.

Where does Lilian run off to when she gets upset with her parents?

Question 8
Imagine that you live in Benlunar. Write a short story about a relatively normal day where something strange happens. The strange thing can be magical, or funny, or just downright ridiculous. Try and include descriptions of the town and your house so that the reader knows what it’s like to live in Benlunar.
